The EU has reclassified the ‘Borate’ group of chemicals that Borax belongs to, so it is no longer available as a cleaning and laundry product. However, Dri-Pak has a solution to keep all you loyal Borax fans happy. It still has all the same cleaning and laundry uses, but you get even more for your money!
Borax Substitute is sodium sesquicarbonate – a mineral compound, with similar pH to borax, making it ideal for cleaning and laundry. It is gentler than Soda Crystals yet stronger than Bicarbonate of Soda
Directions
Cleaning: Sprinkle borax substitute onto surfaces and wipe down with a damp cloth or make a solution of two tablespoons of Borax substitute in a litre of hot water. Use to wipe down surfaces and remove stains in kitchens and bathrooms.
To remove stubborn stains, make a paste of Borax Substitute and apply directly to the stain, Leave for a few minutes and wipe off.
Laundry: Borax substitute can be used to remove stains ad soften hard water.

If in eyes rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do so. Continue Rinsing. If eye irritation persists, seek medical advice.
